One of the sources of anthropogenic global warming is transportation. A significant amount of greenhouse gases are emitted from vehicles, which can be in the form of carbon dioxide (CO2) or methane (CH4). Studies suggest that transportation accounts for roughly 16% to 27% of US greenhouse gas emissions, with passenger vehicles emitting around 12% to 19%. Another source is electricity production. Electricity accounted for 38%of CO2 emissions in 2014, with coal and natural gas accounting for roughly 62% and 20%, respectively.
