which nims guiding principle supports interoperability among multiple organizations?

The guiding principle of the NIMS is to be interoperable between different organizations. This means that the system will work across agencies and provide more efficiency when dealing with emergency responses on a global scale.

The NIMS is managed by FEMA and provides emergency personnel with common operating guidelines for disasters. The goal of these guidelines is standardizing how people react to disasters while also considering the needs of individual communities in emergencies, such as natural disasters and terrorist attacks.

What Is Bioinformatics?

Based on your understanding of this field, please write a 500-word introduction for an informative blog post about it (explaining what bioinformatics entails). Please include citations and references; no additional credit will be given for using the correct MLA format.

Bioinformatics is a mixture of biotechnology, computer science, and statistics to investigate the human genome. It is an interdisciplinary field that uses various analytical tools to assist scientists in understanding genetic information. Bioinformatics helps analyse genetic information by identifying variations within the genome and determining their effects on living organisms. Through bioinformatics, scientists can make more informed decisions about medical treatments for diseases caused by mutations in specific areas of the DNA sequence. Bioinformatics also benefits drug development by allowing companies to more easily find drug targets through data analysis, which has allowed for increased innovation in drug development [Thompson].

What are the main sources of anthropogenic (human-caused) global warming? What are some of the ways in which anthropogenic global warming can be mitigated? Please explain why you think that mitigation is necessary.

While you should include proper citations, no additional credit will be given for using the correct MLA format. (You may, however, use APA citation styles.) Please note that you must provide your own definition of anthropogenic climate change.

Humans are causing climate change by emitting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere which causes an increase in global surface temperature and rising sea level.

One of the sources of anthropogenic global warming is transportation. A significant amount of greenhouse gases are emitted from vehicles, which can be in the form of carbon dioxide (CO2) or methane (CH4). Studies suggest that transportation accounts for roughly 16% to 27% of US greenhouse gas emissions, with passenger vehicles emitting around 12% to 19%. Another source is electricity production. Electricity accounted for 38%of CO2 emissions in 2014, with coal and natural gas accounting for roughly 62% and 20%, respectively. The rest was split between oil, liquid fuels, nuclear energy and renewable sources [EPA].

A problem with mitigation is that some sources of anthropogenic global warming are impossible to reduce or eliminate. For example, the burning of coal releases more CO2 than natural forests, but the latter do not produce nearly as much CO2-equivalent as burning coal does and are much more difficult to use.

For more information on how to reduce anthropogenic global warming or how individual countries are addressing it, visit

The United States’ climate is changing due to ongoing human activity. This has caused both a rise in global surface temperatures and sea level and changes in precipitation patterns.

Emissions from human consumption and land use, including deforestation, are responsible for a majority of anthropogenic global warming. Since the Industrial Revolution, human consumption has increased exponentially while the area under forests has declined precipitously. These two factors together account for around 36% of anthropogenic global warming .

However, there are some ways that humans can reduce their contributions to climate change. For example, shifting towards low-carbon energy sources like wind and solar power can be a way to counteract the effects of anthropogenic global warming. Burning fossil fuels in power plants is another source of heat emissions that can be reduced by eliminating coal-fired power plants and installing more nuclear power plants .
